Fugitive

Twerp Records is blowing minds this year.  Fugitive released a menacingly caustic tape on the label this year that will definitely slaughter your ears.  Angrily strained vocals are spit over dirty riffs, fuzzed-out bass and barbaric drum beatings.  Their demo brings constant abuse to the senses.  This hardcore punk result is energized to the absolute max and layered with grit.  Snag this insane demo below and dig.

Kremlin

Toronto punkers, Kremlin were a band who thrived on playing 80's inspired punk. There seems to be a lot of bands coming out with similar styles these days, but the bands we recognize are actually fucking good. Download their discography and appreciate Kremlin's love for good ol' 80's thrash. The Last Last EP is their final release. Shed a tear and hope for a new project to emerge from the ashes of this Canadian outfit.

Parrhesia

Picture of Parrhesia
Chicago's Parrhesia were an all out assault of spastic screamo that was dark and brooding with elements of punk and hardcore.  They will make your ears burst with all-around screams, walls of crashing cymbals, blasting drum fills and an overall eerie blend of guitars and bass.  Their jams are amazingly brutal and chaotic that even tend to break into unpredictable melodic parts.  These guys are a fine example of playing some original screamo that's actually memorable.  Snag their discography below and rage hard!  Dig.

Noose

Picture of Noose
Chicago's Noose is a vegan/straight-edge powerhouse of hardcore insanity.  This band stomps and thrashes everything to bits with an onslaught of blazing riffs, frantic drums, ugly bass parts and ferocious vocal howls.  Noose hits hard and fast and leaves little time to breathe between their thrash-drenched tracks of sheer aggression.  The band dropped an LP of their collected discography this year that you can't pass up.  Snag it below and dig.

Vaccine was a Western Mass powerhouse featuring The Legendary Will Killingsworth, Matt Swift from Relics and The Living City, Joe Shumsky from Think I Care and Glue, and our friend Matt McKeown who spilled his guts in No Faith.  In a nut shell this band tears shit up. Creep

New York's Creep is a thumping hardcore punk band that plays classic 80's NYHC jams that stomp you to the ground.  These guys dropped their demo this year and it's a beast of mid-to-fast paced hardcore filled with primitively aggravated drum beatings, dirty and frantic riffs, crappy guitar solo's and grunting vocal rage.  Everything about this band is rough, in-your-face and won't let you go.  I can't tell you how many times I've listened to their demo.  It's awesome so snag below and dig.

House Of Apparition

Picture of House of Apparition
Here's some raging black-metal fused punk from House Of Apparition.  This band constructs thumping, straight-ahead punk tunes that are layered in walls of noisy guitars, feedback, crashing cymbols, caveman drum beatings and tormented vocal shrieks.  HOA set a quality tone of moodiness and desperation that makes the listen that much dirtier and menacing.  I can't get enough and you shouldn't be able to either.  Snag everything I could find below and dig.

MISSING RELEASES:

Nuclear Spring

Another punk supergroup has emerged. Brooklyn's Nuclear Spring have been killing it since they dropped their demo in 2011. They have a awesome retro punk sound that brings you back to the late 70's when the genre was still being found.  Knowing what the members used to be in should make you download this no matter what I tell you. So just fucking do it.  Doomtown Records released their latest rager, so snag that along with the band's other solid releases.

Te Lloraría Un Puto Río

Te Lloraría Un Puto Río was a masterfully crafted screamo band from Mexico.  This intricate and technical outfit played music that was filled with moody progression, math-rock structures, blasting violence and an overall epic atmosphere of sounds.  Over the years these guys dropped amazing and somewhat limited splits with such bands as Beau Navireмища, Discord Of A Forgotten Sketch, Carrion SpringMako & Arrow To Atoms.  Below is a collected discography from these magically chaotic bastards.  Snag and dig.
